If your child is in the back seat, place your diaper bag on the front seat next to you to serve as a visual reminder. 2. Place your cell phone in the back seat. This will serve two purposes: you won’t be tempted to text while driving AND you will see your child when you get your phone. 3. Keep vehicles locked at all times, even in driveways or garages. Ask home visitors, child care providers and neighbors to do the same. 4. Keep car keys and remote openers out of reach of children. 5. LOOK BEFORE YOU LOCK!
